OGHA Candidates reiterate commitment to Kashamu's leadership - Politics
House of Assembly Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 9 OGHA election have reaffirmed their support, trust, loyalty and commitment to the leadership of Senator Prince Burujo Kashamu and the Bayo Dayo-led exco in Ogun State.
This was made known at a 3-hour meeting held in Sagamu where the candidates met to review the outcome of the 2019 general election. The meeting was organised by Hon. Ayorinde Babatunde (Fabregas).
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Raphael Olaosebikan (Ijebu East State Constituency), on behalf of others, congratulated Sen. Kashamu on the occasion of his 61st birthday and prayed that Almighty God grants him long life and prosperity to continue impacting the lives of the downtrodden and uplifting the hopeless. He further appreciated the Senator for his immense support all through the electioneering period. Particularly, he hailed him for his financial and moral support towards the well being of Hon. Balogun Sikiru Babatunde who is currently battling health issues.
"The 2019 general election has come and gone. Now is the time to let go of the past and work hand in hand towards 2023. I sincerely appreciate the immeasurable effort and contribution of Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu.
He demonstrated the attributes of a father-figure to us throughout the electioneering period and stayed put to affirm our candidacies. We are very grateful and for this, we are staying solidly with him. We believe in his political ideology and as such, we believe our interest would be well protected by him", he concluded.
In his address, Hon. John Tosin Oludoyi (Obafemi/Owode State constituency) applauded Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde (Fabregas) for organising the meeting and thanked everyone present at the meeting for honouring the call. He said the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidates in the 2019 general election have learnt their lessons. This, according to him, will enable the party and its leadership to sit tight and get it right ahead of the 2023 general election.
At the end of the meeting, the candidates reassured Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu of their total loyalty and commitment to his political philosophy. Present at the meeting are;
