Ogun Politics Today : Why we pitched tent with Hon. Ladi Adebutu - U-Seven Media Concept

Image
In politics,  they say there is no permanent friend or enemy, what we have is permanent interest.  As we all know, the primary interest of any genuine member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State is to see the Party winning elective positions at all levels.   After the 2019 election, the U-Seven Media concept, a social media based team,  had a thorough review of it, paying a close attention the performance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.  We came to the conclusion that there is an urgent need to foster peace and unity among members of the Party, especially the bigwigs.  We are of the opinion that anything short of this would bring nothing but a recurrence of the below-par performance recorded this election year.   On our decision to shift base and work with Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, it was a conclusion made after weighing several options before us. It is our wish to relate with a more youth friendly individual ...

The inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari for second term comes up next week. What are your expectations in the fresh term? I congratulate President Buhari on his re-election, and our prayer is that he will succeed in taking Nigeria to the next level as he promised during his campaigns. We also hope that he will be able to fulfil his promise of making Nigeria clean, that’s talking about his anti-corruption campaign. I believe that once corruption is successfully tackled, the economy of Nigeria will pick up. I believe that it is not that our economy is that bad but corruption is stifling the economy on many fronts, and that is why there has been no industrial growth and commerce is not thriving the way it ought ...

Professor of Chemical Engineering, Adesoji Adesina, says it may take 2,000 years for Nigeria to get steady electricity. According to him, it was high time the country embraced renewable energy. Adesina spoke while delivering the 2019 First Award Winners’ Lecture of the Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) at the University of Lagos on Tuesday titled: “Making the Case for Agro-Based Energy Development: A National Priority for Sustainable Economy”. “It will take us nearly 2,000 years to get to where developed countries are; if we don’t change anything; if we just fold our hands it will take us an unacceptably long time to get to where we want to be. “So the present renewable policy we have must change,” The Nation quoted him as saying.
