COVID-19 Lockdown : Babangida donates relief package to Sagamu residents



   Worried by the urgent need to ameliorate the hardship currently experienced by the downtrodden, a former SA to Governor Ibikunle Amosun and communist from Sagamu, Prince Gbenga Banwo distributed relief package to the people of Makun and Offin today. The relief package which was targeted at the aged, contained loaves of bread. 

 Babangida, as fondly called by friends and political associates stated that this show of solidarity is a way of extending his support to the aged and the downtrodden in combating the effect of COVID-19 pandemic 

 He said, "Indeed, these are trying times for us as humans. The lockdown directive is not favourable to anyone but it has been considered to be the only available option to avoid a widespread of the virus. I therefore urge everyone to obey the directives while maintaining a healthy hygiene during this period. This is because our survival from this pandemic depends on how strictly we adhere to the directives from government and health authorities". 

  Prince Gbenga further assured that he will continue to seek ways to support this cause especially as it affects the welfare of the good people of Offin and Makun.  An elated beneficiary of the gesture, Sunday Adekunle commended Prince Gbenga for his act of goodwill, noting that such is what the people need in this trying period. 

  "I acknowledge that this is a fight that needs all hands on deck and that is why I am taking this opportunity to say a very big thank you to our Prince for tackling hunger in his little capacity. May God continue to bless him so that he can do more of this in the coming days".
